Hi all,
What an exciting time of year, christmas!! I am very grateful to people who decorate their houses for the festive season as it is a great opportunity for light painting!
Some of these photos show the amazing lights and displays, and others are me having fun with the lights! I hope you enjoy!
I used http://christmaslightsearch.com.au/Australia/ to find christmas lights near me if you want to give it a go.
If you get a chance it is definitely worth checking some christmas lights out!
Merry Christmas! Thank you for checking out my blog 🙂
Cheers, Andrew
Hi all,
Yesterday we went to the Royal Melbourne Show. We had a ball -such a fun place! I set my tripod up once the sun had set and took to the rides section. All those moving lights on the rides were sure to give me some great light painting opportunities – I was not disappointed!
What do you think of these 5 photos?
All were shot at ISO 100 f11.0 Shutter speed between 2 and 6 seconds.
Thanks for checking out my post 🙂
Cheers, Andrew
Hi everyone,
I hope your weekend is going well. Until the end of August, Docklands have free Friday night fireworks that go for about 10 minutes from 7pm. I went along last Friday to take some photos.
It was a first time for me taking photos of fireworks, but I think they turned out pretty well!
All of these were taken with my Sony RX100 on a tripod. The manual settings were:
ISO: 125 Aperture: f10 Shutter: 5 sec
Definitely worth photographing fireworks, quite fun!
Cheers, Andrew
Hi all,
Last week on our way back from the Gertrude Street Projection Festival, my creativity was sparked when I saw the lighting on the Royal Exhibition Building. I just had to set the tripod up again and get some shots.
I was particularly pleased with the fountain shot below. The backlight created a beautiful glow effect on the water spray coming off the fountain:
ISO: 1600 Aperture: f3.5 Shutter: 1/13
ISO: 1600 Aperture: f4.0 Shutter: 1/15
I have to say night photography and lights are quickly becoming a favourite of mine. I hope you enjoyed 🙂
