A few months ago I went to Luna Park with a friend to do some light painting. There are so many lights all around, but my favourites are always the moving lights from the rides.

Farm scenes

Hi all,

A few weeks ago I visited some country towns near Ballarat, Victoria. Whilst driving there and back we passed many interesting scenes. Here are some photos of the sceneries that caught our eyes enough to make us stop. The sky was very dramatic that day also!

Spring has sprung in Melbourne!

Hi all,

Well Spring has Sprung in Melbourne and the insects and flowers are out in force – so I joined them with my camera!!

Earlier this year we planted a lot of flowering plants in our garden to attract the insects, yes I had an ulterior photography motive! Yesterday morning the sun was shining, the flowers were out and the bees were pollinating! So I took the opportunity to get some photos.

Light trails at the Gertrude Street Projection Festival

Recently when I visited the Gertrude Street Projection Festival I had a great time with my tripod doing some light trails with the traffic. Trams were my favourite as they provide an amazing trail given their size and the lighting inside.

VW Beetle – All lit up!

Hi all,

Last weekend I visited the Gertrude Street Projection Festival. It is an annual festival where they use light in different ways to create works of art. A lot of fun! In this post I have included some of my favourite photos from the VW Beetle art work. A projector was shining different patterns onto the car.

Camouflaged bird

Hi all,

Whilst at the Zoo last weekend, I also found a green camouflaged bird. He was very cute darting about quickly. As his colouring is green he camouflaged into the leaves very well making it difficult to spot him. I have been a little creative with my post processing to make him stand out a little bit more.
